The video is in english. Hope you like it as much as we did.
Hello everyone! I already miss you all!
After the dinner in Giovanni's association i remembered to share this link. (sorry it's only in portuguese)
This is an association made with parents for parents - they call it parents in network.
In their site you can see their projects all over the country (they already have lots of delegation from north to south - http://paisemrede.pt/nucleos/aljustrel/), and I highlight the project of the special kids book that you can see here http://paisemrede.pt/lancamento-dos-livros-da-colecao-meni…/
This is a project with a writer, an ilustrater and a family with an element with special needs.
Both the ilustrater and the writer meet the family and the child with special disabilities, and after that meeting they write and ilustrate about the child that they met.
Each book is about a different type of special needs and the main public of this work are other children with or without special needs.
In our 184th edition of the Foundation Newsletter (in february), there were some information about the TANDEM project, the partners and the main goals.
This is an informative article that we post it here.
Last Saturday, April 22nd, we had the 2nd edition of Accessible Art Day - Discovering art in family, in an inclusive way.
The main idea of this event is that all kinds of families could participate in the activities that we programed for this day (families with special needs or not).
In that order, there were different kinds of activities that we usually have for groups/schools during the year: “mine, yours, our garden”, “draw visit”, “dance visit”, “Dj for a day”, “Playing through art” and a special participation of a New Circus company (an inclusive one), that came to offer some workshops and a show at the end of the morning and afternoon activities.
Each family could not only come for an activity, but also have an entire day with us, participating in more than one activity.
On this day we had the participation of about 400 people who could participate in the various workshops and attend a show from the Armazém Aér (i) o - Companhia de Novo Circo.
The Spanish local newspaper Diario de León published an article today about Tandem. The two-page feature explains the objectives of the project, the amount of the grant, and all the institutions involved.
It also describes the past activities of MUSAC related to groups with different types of disabilities, and announces the ongoing guided tours with sign-language interpretation. The next "accessible" guided tour will take place on Friday, April 7, at MUSAC.
